You may want to know that Mike Dirnt of Green Day is a BASSIST (playing that guitar with a really long neck and 4 or so really heavy & thick strings), which is quite different from being a GUITARIST (they play those shorter-neck guitars with usually 6 thinner, lighter strings, like Billy in Green Day).
